Last updated: May 2026 | Effective: May 1, 2026
Overview
Local SEO Abu Dhabi ("we", "our", "us") is a digital marketing agency based at Tower 1, Mazyad Mall, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy applies to our website at localseoabudhabi.com and any services we provide to clients.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of every individual who interacts with our website or works with our agency. This policy is written in plain language so you can understand exactly what we do with your information — and why.
By using this website or contacting us through any channel, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please refrain from using our website or services.
Data We Collect
We collect only the information we genuinely need. We do not collect data indiscriminately, and we never sell your personal information to third parties.
Information You Provide Directly
When you fill out our contact form, request a free SEO audit, or email us directly, we collect the information you choose to share. This typically includes:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if provided)
- Your business name and website URL
- The message or enquiry you submit
- Any documents or files you choose to attach
For existing clients, we also collect information necessary to deliver our services, including your Google Business Profile login credentials (handled via official Google delegation — we never store these directly), Analytics access details, and business address information required for local citation building.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, certain technical information is collected automatically by our servers and analytics tools. This includes:
- Your IP address (anonymised before storage)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- The pages you visit and time spent on each
- The website that referred you to ours
- Date and time of your visit
- Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop)
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience and understand how visitors use our site. Full details are provided in the Cookie Policy section below.
How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect for specific, legitimate business purposes. We do not use your data for purposes that are incompatible with what you would reasonably expect when you contact us.
Responding to Enquiries
When you contact us via our website form or by email, we use your contact details to respond to your message. This is the primary reason we collect contact information, and it is the most obvious lawful basis: you contacted us specifically because you wanted a response.
Delivering Our Services
For clients who engage us for local SEO services, we use your business and contact information to fulfil the terms of our service agreement. This includes conducting SEO audits, building citations with your business name and address, optimising your Google Business Profile, and preparing monthly reports.
Improving Our Website
Anonymised analytics data helps us understand which pages are most useful, where visitors get confused, and how people discover us. We use this information to make our website better — not to identify individual visitors.
Communication and Updates
If you are an existing client, we may send you service updates, reporting summaries, and relevant SEO news by email. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting us at info@localseoabudhabi.com.
Legal Compliance
In some circumstances, we may need to process your personal data to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a court order, or cooperate with a regulatory authority under UAE law.
UAE PDPL Compliance
Local SEO Abu Dhabi complies with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL), which governs the processing of personal data for individuals in the United Arab Emirates. We process your personal data only where we have a valid legal basis to do so under this law.
Legal Bases for Processing
Under the UAE PDPL, we rely on the following legal bases depending on the activity:
- Consent: For non-essential cookies and any marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contractual Necessity: For client data we need to process in order to deliver the services you have contracted with us.
- Legitimate Interests: For website analytics (anonymised) and responding to enquiries, where our interests do not override your rights.
- Legal Obligation: Where we must retain or process data to comply with UAE law or regulatory requirements.
Data Localisation
Where personal data is transferred to third-party services based outside the UAE (for example, Google Analytics servers), we ensure that such transfers comply with the UAE PDPL's provisions on cross-border data transfers. We only use third-party services that offer adequate data protection standards.
Data Protection Officer
For all data protection enquiries and to exercise your rights under the UAE PDPL, please contact us at info@localseoabudhabi.com with the subject line "Data Protection Enquiry". We will respond within 15 business days.
Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate our website and deliver our services. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to understand website traffic and user behaviour. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised data. We have enabled IP anonymisation, which means Google truncates your IP address before it is stored. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Maps
Our contact page may embed Google Maps to display our office location at Tower 1, Mazyad Mall, Abu Dhabi. When you interact with an embedded Google Map, Google may collect data about your interaction. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We use the Maps embed only for location display — no additional tracking is implemented through this feature.
Email Service Provider
Enquiries submitted through our contact form are delivered to our email inbox. We use standard business email infrastructure and do not use third-party email marketing platforms for general enquiry handling. If you subscribe to any email newsletter or update list, we will clearly disclose which provider is used at the point of subscription.
No Data Selling
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their marketing purposes. Full stop.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, or as required by UAE law.
- Enquiry data: Contact form submissions and email enquiries are retained for up to 2 years. If no business relationship develops from the enquiry, the data is deleted after this period.
- Client data: Information related to client engagements is retained for 5 years after the end of a service relationship, in line with UAE commercial record-keeping requirements.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months within Google's systems (our default setting). Aggregated, anonymised reports may be retained indefinitely.
- Financial records: Invoice and payment data is retained for 7 years in accordance with UAE tax and commercial law.
Your Rights
Under the UAE PDPL and general privacy best practices, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
Right to Access
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide this in a commonly used electronic format within 30 days.
Right to Correction
If any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct it.
Right to Deletion
You can ask us to delete your personal data where we no longer have a legitimate reason to retain it. Note that some data may need to be kept to comply with our legal obligations.
Right to Restrict Processing
In certain circumstances, you can ask us to stop processing your data while you raise a concern or dispute.
Right to Object
You can object to us processing your data for legitimate interest purposes. We will stop unless we have compelling overriding grounds to continue.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we rely on your consent to process data (such as for non-essential cookies or marketing emails), you can withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please email info@localseoabudhabi.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request". We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We aim to respond within 15 business days.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Access to personal data within our team is limited to those who genuinely need it to do their job.
However, no method of data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we take data security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. If you believe your data may have been compromised, please contact us immediately.
In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant UAE authorities as required by the UAE PDPL.
